Questions for Patients

Clinical trials are scientific studies that require the participation of volunteer patients.

What questions should you ask before participating in a clinical trial?
Here are some examples:

  1. What is the purpose of the study?
  2. What kind of tests or treatments will be performed?
  3. What other treatments are available and what are the advantages or drawbacks of each one?
  4. What side effects might I experience?
  5. How long will the study last?
  6. How much time will be required on my part?
  7. If I have any further questions, who should I contact?
  8. Will I have to be hospitalized? If so, how often and for how long?
  9. Will I have any financial costs?
